Purpose of Committee

a)
To discharge
the Council's functions as district planning authority and building
control authority with the exception of policy relating to these
functions and specifically -
-
the Local
Borough Plan;
-
development
briefs; and
-
supplementary
planning guidance;
·
which shall be
reserved to the Cabinet or, where required by law, to the full
Council.

Certain
functions have been further delegated to Officers of the Council
(see Annex 1.13 of the Constitution)
