• We only collect items from properties within the Borough of Gravesham
  • You must list all items to be collected on the form. We will NOT collect any items that are not listed. For example, if you want to get rid of a dining table and three chairs, you have four items to be collected. All four items must be listed on the booking.
  • We only collect from residential properties. We do not collect from commercial premises, including schools and nursing homes.
  • All items are to be left at your normal rubbish and recycling collection point (usually the front of your property) in an easily accessible and visible place at the property boundary.
  • Do not to obstruct foot paths and roads.
  • Our crews are not able to come into your home or garden to help get the items out to the property boundary.
  • The council accepts no liability for damage to private property as a direct or indirect result of the collection or any failure to collect.
  • For collections from flats or apartments, items must be left by the communal bin store. We cannot help you move items from your flat or apartment to the communal bin store.
  • Please ensure that your items are put out by 7am on collection day and no earlier than 4pm the day before your collection.
  • Collections will take place anytime between 7am and 5pm.
  • You don’t have to be in when we collect your items.
  • If items have not been left out in a safe and accessible manner (i.e. has sharp edges or is not considered safe to transport) they will not be collected.
  • All items must be under two metres. Items that can’t be safely lifted by two people or carried from the collection point to the vehicle will not be taken.
  • Fridges and freezers must be defrosted and clear of all food. If they are not, our crews will not collect your items and no refunded will be provided.
