Parrock Street car park
Parking and roads
All of Gravesham Borough Council Town Centre Car Parks are operated on a Pay and Display basis with charges applying Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm (including Bank Holidays) however the car parks are free on Saturdays and Sundays. The council provides and maintains the public surface car parks to ensure a safe and sufficient parking service for the community and visitors to the area. The two multi storey car parks are not managed by the council. If you have any problems associated with either Thamesgate Centre or St George's Centre car parks you should report this to the Centre Manager's office in each shopping centre. Each car park is patrolled regularly by our Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO) who will check to see if motorists have a valid ticket on display. They will issue a penalty charge notice to any vehicle found to be in contravention of car park regulations, for instance no valid ticket displayed, valid ticket expired, parking outside of the bay, etc. They are also there to be of help and assistance to you and have direct link back to the many council services. To ensure you do not get a penalty charge notice in our pay and display car parks please ensure the following. - Make sure you have the correct change for the pay and display ticket machine before leaving home.
- Give careful consideration to how long you think you may need to park.
- The ticket you purchase will show you the time by which it will expire. Make a note of the time and ensure you return to your car in good time.
- Place the pay and display ticket face upwards on the front dashboard so that it can be clearly seen. When you shut your car door ensure the ticket is still face up with the time and date clearly visible.
If you have any comments to make in respect of the surface car park please make contact by any one of the following methods or by using the general comment form below.
