Great Expectations (Riverside Leisure Area - Thames and Medway Canal Project)

Over the next 6 months the Council will be working to improve the Riverside Leisure Area and the Thames and Medway Canal.

The works are being funded by the Government's Homes and Communities Agency as part of the Thames Gateway Parklands Initiative - a scheme to enhance parks and open spaces, improve local landscapes and increase access to the countryside. We hope that the improvements set out in this exhibition (available to download in pdf format below) will be just the first phase of works. We are actively developing further projects which, subject to funding, will be carried out next year.
