Almost every major company has an Equal
Opportunities policy. Simply having a policy is not enough.
Recent research shows that where race
is concerned, equal opportunity in employment is still far from being achieved. The
resulting loss to the company in the alienation of Black customers and the profit-making
potential of Black employees is incalculable.
The Wood-Sheppard Principles offer a
framework for measuring whether your Equal Opportunities policy is effective in race
equality. Used in conjunction with one of the equality assurance initiatives, the
Principles can turn good ideas into profitable reality.
To endorse the Wood-Sheppard Principles
is to invest in all our futures.
