So many activities going on in Gravesend Town Centre on the first weekend of December.
We also know that Christmas can be an expensive time for families, that’s why we’re hosting a whole range of free activities across the Christmas period, from our Big Lights Switch On, to our free Santa’s Grotto at the Borough Market and an extravaganza of entertainment throughout the town for our Big Christmas Weekend, we’ve got something for everyone in Gravesend this festive season.

Walkabout acts Saturday
The acts will be walking around the town, timings are approximate but planned currently for:
- Pearly Kings and Queens (30 minutes) 11am and 12:30pm.
- Christmas Minnie and Mickey Mouse (2 hours) from 12:30pm.
- Festive Seagulls (30 minutes) 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:15pm.
Timings of the walkabouts are subject to change and location, depending on the weather.
**Refreshments (Saturday & Sunday)
Free festive refreshments are available to anyone who supports our small businesses in town.
Visit the stall at the entrance to the market and present a valid receipt of £5 or more from a local purchase that day.
There will be mulled wine, churros, chestnuts and mince pies (whilst stocks last), and a traditional chior too. The perfect selfie spot, make sure you tag the market in your social media posts.
