8. Prevent

Prevent is part of the Government's counter-terrorism strategy and aims to stop people being drawn into terrorism or supporting violent extremism and non-violent extremism.

You can find out more about the strategy on the GOV.UK website.

If you are concerned about an individual or group, particularly if you believe they are vulnerable to radicalisation, being drawn into extremism or you are concerned about them travelling to Syria, please call the Anti-Terrorism Hotline on 0800 789321.

The threat of terrorism is real and in the event that you see a person acting suspiciously or if you see a vehicle, unattended package or bag which might be a threat, move away and call Kent Police on 999 or the Anti-Terrorism Hotline on 0800 789321.
