4. COVID-19 testing

If you have symptoms, or are living with someone with symptoms, you can access a test through the national testing programme.

All appointments must be booked in advance.

Symptom-free testing

Rapid-result coronavirus (COVID-19) testing for people who don’t have symptoms is being rolled out across Kent.

The testing will find people who don’t currently have symptoms, who may be unknowingly spreading the virus in the community and the sites are part of a rolling programme to help reduce the rates of transmission in Kent.

In addition to sites already running at Sheppey and Ramsgate, people can now book for tests using the link below:

NHS Test and Trace

The NHS Test and Trace service aims to help contain and control coronavirus. Anyone with symptoms will be tested and their close contacts will be traced.

New guidance means those who have been in close contact with someone who tests positive must isolate for 14 days, even if they have no symptoms, to avoid unknowingly spreading the virus.

If you receive a positive Covid-19 test result or are told by the NHS to self-isolate, you may be eligible to receive a £500 lump sum. Please visit our test and trace page for more information.
