About the role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Property Manager to join our Social Lettings Team. This is a key role in helping us prevent homelessness and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation by increasing access to private rented housing.

You’ll work directly with landlords and tenants, managing properties through GBC Lettings, supporting tenancy sustainment, and promoting incentives to encourage landlords to work with us. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the community while developing strong relationships across the housing sector.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage private rented properties and assured shorthold tenancies through GBC Lettings.
  • Support homeless households to access private rented accommodation and prevent homelessness.
  • Promote landlord incentives and build strong relationships with property owners.
  • Conduct inspections, manage repairs, and resolve tenancy issues.
  • Monitor rent payments and support tenants with budgeting and arrears.
  • Identify disrepair and ensure properties meet safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in housing, ideally with knowledge of homelessness legislation and the private rented sector.
  • A confident communicator, able to build trust with landlords and support vulnerable tenants.
  • Organised and proactive, with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • IT literate, with good record-keeping and administrative abilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Committed to equality, safeguarding, and excellent customer service.
