We are asking all residents across Gravesham to give feedback about their local area, to help us offer services that are important to them.
What services we provide
We are responsible for providing the following:
- Residential rubbish and recycling collections plus street cleaning
- Environmental Health inspections and enforcement
- Collection of council tax and benefits including fraud investigations
- Advice and support to private landlords, tenants and those experiencing homelessness
- Licensing functions for alcohol, gambling, taxi, and private hire
- Deciding most planning applications, building regulations, regeneration, and conservation
- Leisure and community facilities including the Woodville, festivals, and events
- Community Safety Partnership with Kent Police, KCC and other bodies
- Economic development and inclusive growth of the borough
- Tourism and town centre management
Other services are provided by Kent County Council.
