If you live in an annex or you have an annex that no-one lives in you may be able to get a 50% discount. We class an annex as a separate place to live, with its own entrance and exit, on a main property.
There are a few things you need to know before you can apply for the discount:
- The annex must be a separate part of the main property
- Whoever lives in it must be a relative of the person who pays the bill on the main property
- The annex must be the main or the only home of the person living in it.
If you live in an annex and you're the only one that lives in it you could get the 25% Single Person Discount plus the 50% discount for the annex.
