DVLA licence

You can continue your licence if you are an existing driver whose licence has expired mid-term due to the expiration of your DVLA licence.

Before applying to continue your existing licence you need to make sure that you have your new DVLA licence to hand and are able to provide the document, ideally by attaching a scan/photo of it to the application form.

You must also obtain a DVLA driving licence online 'check code' to allow us to check your counter-part. Please visit GOV.UK to obtain your code.

Residence Permit

You can continue your licence if you are an existing driver whose licence has expired mid-term due to the expiration of your Residence Permit.

Before applying to continue your existing licence you need to make sure that you have received your new Residence Permit. Please have this to hand as you will be asked to upload a copy of it in the application form
