To be allowed to vote, you must be on the electoral register. You can register to vote at any time but be aware that if there is an upcoming election, there will be a deadline to register.

Most people who are already registered to vote will not have to register again. We will write to tell you if you need to do anything.

It only takes five minutes to register to vote and all you need is your National Insurance Number (if you have one). If you don't, you can get in touch with us and we'll help you.
