Gravesham Riverside Festival will be held on Saturday 6 July 2024, with lots of live music and family fun activities.

Come Together for this year's Riverside Festival!

Headlining the music stage at the Riverside Festival, Gravesend, this year is internationally renowned tribute act The Bootleg Beatles. The band have performed over 400 times since their formation in 1980 and will be headlining the Accoustic stage on the Friday night at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Their performance at the Riverside Festival will spectacularly recreate the sound and look of the Fab Four through each iconic phase of their illustrious career, with what can only be described as uncanny authenticity.

Event line-up main stage

The main stage will also host noughties house act Sweet Female Attitude who will be singing their #2 chart hit ‘Flowers’, plus performances from a number of tribute acts including Tina Turner Tribute ‘Totally Tina!’

Supporting the event this year is Made In Kent Radio. They will be hosting events on the main stage.

Family Fun at Fort Gardens

There’s fun for all the family in Fort Gardens throughout the day, featuring Centre Stage children’s party and performances on the bandstand from midday, party games, workshops and more.

Our theme this year is ‘Fairytales’ so come and meet Flame, the fire breathing dragon and the baby dragons with show times scheduled at intervals across the day between 11am and 5pm.

Follow our Fairytale Treasure Trail and join our Parks & Open Spaces Team who will be on hand to help you decorate your own fairy door and plant seeds to take home.

Micky the Magician will be delivering walk around magic while Creepy Claws will be offering educational workshops and animal interactions for everyone from two years of age and over.

The historic Milton Chantry and New Tavern Fort will be open to visitors on the day between 11 and 5pm.

Other attractions include a dragon puppet show, glitter tattoos, drop-in children’s arts & crafts, helter skelter, and giant garden games.

All our activities are FREE, although there is a small fee for face-painting.

Active area

In the Active Area some of the free activities to take part in include:

  • crazy golf
  • climbing wall
  • bouncy castle
  • boxing
  • Laser Tag
  • and more

New for this year in the Active Area we will feature the Ravesham Kidz dance tent which, over the course of the day will provide an opportunity for kids and adults to dance together to rave music provided by a local DJ.

Food Outlets

The Prom Café will be open and there will also be a selection of pop-up traders both on the river front and in the Fort Gardens selling food and drink.

Fun Fair

Smith’s Funfair will be on site over the whole weekend:

  • Thursday 4 July to Sunday 7 July from 12pm to 9pm

Getting there and parking

The Riverside Leisure area is accessible by foot. Parking officers will be patrolling to ensure people do not block the roads.

Are you driving? Milton Place and Ordnance Road car parks will have very limited spaces. Please use other town centre car parks. The next nearest public car parks would be:

  • Parrock Street Car Park
  • Gurdwara Car Park

On street parking restrictions will be in place as usual and will be enforced.

Please park considerately.
