As part of our collaboration with Bird Wise, we are running various nature workshops.

Gravesham Borough Council, in collaboration with Bird Wise, is excited to announce a guided walk along the canal path to honour the selection of some of our open spaces for the King’s Series National Nature Reserve (NNR) status. To celebrate this achievement, we will be offering various events in and around our country parks.

Join us for a serene and informative guided walk along the picturesque canal path, leading out onto the expansive marshlands. This delightful journey, led by knowledgeable guides, offers a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area. As you stroll along the path, you'll learn about the rich history of the canal and the diverse ecosystems supported by the marsh. Keep an eye out for a variety of bird species and other wildlife that call this environment home. Whether you're a seasoned nature enthusiast or a curious beginner, this walk promises to be both relaxing and educational. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring along a pair of binoculars for a closer look at the local wildlife. We look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you.

Please note the walk has limited opportunities to sit down so would not be suitable for people with limited mobility. Suitable for all ages and dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead.
