Find out how you can get involved with the annual Great British Spring Clean.
We are pleased to support 2026 The Great British Spring Clean, a national campaign aimed to clean up the country and tackle litter.
The campaign, is run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, is a mass action campaign that will take place from 13 to 29 March.
It brings together individuals, community organisations, businesses and councils to make a difference to the environment on our doorstep. We believe it is valuable for our staff and councillors to get involved.
We are calling on you to pledge on Keep Britain Tidy’s website to pick a bag or more of litter, helping make a huge difference to the environment.
Last year 485 local authorities and town or parish councils took part, and it will be wonderful to be among the authorities boosting that engagement this year.
After the 2025 campaign, 95% of people who took part agreed they feel that they made a difference to their local area, and volunteers picked more than 462,000 bags of litter across the country!
