Last updated on: 09-Apr-2021

Gravesham Borough Council reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, and you agree to abide by the most recent version of this.

I understand that the inclusion of excluded items will lead to a delay in collection.

I understand that omitting or providing inaccurate information may lead to a delay in processing this request.

Terms and Conditions

  • We only collect items from properties within the Borough of Gravesham.
  • You must list all items to be collected on the form. We will NOT collect any items that are not listed. For example, if you want to get rid of a dining table and three chairs, you have four items to be collected. All four items must be listed on the booking.
  • All items are to be left in your rubbish and recycling point (usually the front of your property) in an easily accessible and visible place by 7am on collection day. You don’t have to be in when we collect your items.
  • For collections from flats or apartments, items must be left by the communal bin store. We cannot help you move items from your flat or apartment to the communal bin store.
  • Collections will take place anytime between 7am and 5pm.
  • We only collect from residential properties. We do not collect from commercial premises, including schools and nursing homes.
  • Items must not be left on the footpath or on a public highway and the crew must be able to access the area to remove items safely. Our crews are not able to come into your home to help get the items out to the front.
  • If items have not been left out in a safe and accessible manner (i.e. has sharp edges or is not considered safe to transport) they will not be collected.
  • All items must be under two metres. Items that can’t be safely lifted by two people or carried from the collection point to the vehicle will not be taken.
