3. Food poisoning

If you think you have food poisoning contact your doctor. They will then contact us if there is a confirmed or suspected case of food poisoning.

If you have any food remaining that you suspect is the reason you're ill, keep it in a sealed container in the fridge as it may be needed for testing to confirm your suspicions.

If there is any evidence that you have been made ill from a food business within Gravesham, then we may carry out further investigations. Food poisoning is not always someone else's fault. It could be your own. It is important to take care when storing and preparing food. Most food poisonings result from food prepared at home.
