2. Warm Home Scheme

The Warm Homes Scheme is a partnership project between Kent County Council and the local councils to help and support residents in Kent and Medway.

For Gravesham residents the scheme can help social housing tenants and private homeowners, providing the opportunity to insulate their homes to make it more energy efficient and save money on their energy bills. The measures currently available include:

  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Loft insulation
  • Heating measures (private homeowners only)

You can find out more information and how to apply through Kent County Council or call the Warm Homes Helpline on 0800 170 1174.

Your registration details will be shared with the Warm Homes provider who will be in contact to see if you are eligible for support. Please note a contribution towards the cost may be necessary.

ECO Local Authority Flexible Eligibility

The latest changes to ECO (ECO2t) enables Local Authorities to include a wider package of assistance for residents who are in fuel poverty, on a low income or are vulnerable to living in a cold home due to age/health conditions. This has been developed to help those who have not qualified for assistance under previous benefit based schemes.

The Gravesham Borough Council Flexible Eligibility Statement of Intent sets out the additional eligibility criteria.

Copies of the signed document can be provided on request along with the previous statement of intent 2017.
