Apply for disabled adaptations

You should contact your Housing Officer to discuss your circumstances. They will arrange an initial visit to ensure there aren't any safeguarding concerns. They will advise if a referral to Occupational Health is required, and if you need any support with the referral. 

What happens next

Once a referral has been received, and reviewed, the Occupational Therapy Service they will contact you undertake an initial screening. This is usually done by telephone. 

If required, they will make an appointment to visit you, to identify any adaptations that are necessary. They will assess what appropriate adaptations you may qualify for, and send a written recommendation to the council for consideration.
