We may be able to pay for work that is needed to help a disabled person live more independently in their own home.

Apply for disabled adaptations
Please phone 01474 337000 and ask to speak to the Neighbourhood Officers to discuss your circumstances.
They will arrange an initial visit to ensure there aren't any safeguarding concerns. They will advise if a referral to Occupational Health is required, and if you need any support with the referral.
What happens next
Once a referral has been received, and reviewed, the Occupational Therapy Service they will contact you undertake an initial screening. This is usually done by telephone.
If required, they will make an appointment to visit you, to identify any adaptations that are necessary. They will assess what appropriate adaptations you may qualify for, and send a written recommendation to the council for consideration.
