Solar Together is a group-buying scheme to provide quality installations at a competitive price. Find out about the scheme and how to register.

Solar Together Kent

Solar Together Kent has partnered with iChoosr Ltd, who are independent experts in group-buying, to bring Solar Together to Gravesham’s homeowners.

Solar Together Kent is an innovative scheme offering high-quality solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery storage. It is a group-buying scheme, which brings Gravesham’s households together to get high-quality solar panels at a competitive price, helping you through the process and keeping you informed at every stage.

Solar panels can help you save money on energy bills, as well as reduce your carbon footprint. You can also choose to install battery storage, so electricity generated by the solar panels can be used in your home or via a personal electric vehicle charging point.

Any homeowner, landlord or small business in Kent can register. Applications are limited to 50 solar panels per property.

If you already have solar panels installed you can apply for battery storage to maximise the benefits of your existing solar panel installation.

How Solar Together works

Registrations for Solar Together 2025 are now open. You'll have until 6 June 2025 to register for the scheme.

  1. Registration is quick, free and there is no obligation.
  2. Auction of pre-vetted installers bidding against each other to offer the best deal.
  3. Personal recommendation based on your registration details.
  4. You decide if you want to take up the recommendation and proceed with an installation.
  5. Savings on electricity, after installation, by generating your own renewable electricity.

Planning permission

Solar PV installations are considered a ‘permitted development’ and will generally not need planning permission. However, in some cases, such as in Conservation Areas and on Listed Buildings, planning permission may be required.
