Information about hosting residential street parties to celebrate VE Day and VJ Day.
2025 marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War, with Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945 and Victory over Japan (VJ) Day on 15 August 1945.
Street Party Road Closures
If you are organising a community street party you may need to apply to Kent County Council for a road closures.
There will be no charge for closing these roads for residential street parties.
The deadline for applications for VE Day is 22 March 2025.
The deadline for applications for VJ Day is 27 June 2025.
