Light and Life Exhibition

Be Part of the Magic - Open Call Exhibition for Gravesham Light Festival 2026!

We’re excited to announce that the Gravesham Light Festival will return in January 2026 - and this year, it’s set to shine brighter than ever!

As part of the festival, St George’s Arts Centre, Gravesend will host a special Open Call exhibition celebrating the themes of Light and Life. We’re inviting artists, photographers, and creatives of all disciplines to submit work that explores or is inspired by these themes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creativity to a wide audience and be part of one of Gravesham’s most inspiring cultural events.

From the first spark of daybreak to the warmth of human connection, light is a universal symbol of hope, clarity, and transformation. It reveals not just the world around us, but also our inner lives.

We’re looking for work that explores the connection between light and life - whether through nature, human experience, community, memory, or resilience.

Think radiant portraits, glowing cityscapes or subtle reflections of light in everyday moments. Show us how light shapes the way we see, feel and live.

The exhibition will run from Friday 2 January - Saturday 31 January 2026.
