Another step towards to a greener future with the installation of new solar panels at its Brookvale Depot.

The new solar panel system will generate more than 164,000 kWh of renewable electricity every year, supplying around 45% of the site’s electricity needs while reducing carbon emissions by around 34 tonnes annually.

The investment forms part of the council’s ongoing commitment to reducing its environmental impact and making its operations more sustainable.

This investment in renewable energy is another positive step as we continue improving our facilities while building a more sustainable future for Gravesham.”

Generating enough renewable electricity to meet almost half of the site’s annual electricity demand, the new installation will help reduce reliance on grid electricity while supporting the council’s ambition to lower its carbon emissions.

Every investment in sustainable infrastructure is an investment in the future of our borough. Projects like this help create a cleaner, greener Gravesham for residents today and for generations to come.
