    Gravesham In bloom

    The council is looking for volunteers to help make the borough look even more beautiful. The South & South East in Bloom campaign is the largest horticultural campaign in the region, involving 100’s of communities each year. There is an annual competition which is judged in July, the last two years Gravesham has been awarded silver guilt awards. This year we are going for gold, all local businesses and residents within a mile of the town centre are being asked to get involved by decorating their garden with flowers and as much colour as possible.

    More than 1,000 young people from 21 schools in Gravesham will be taking part in community celebrations in Gravesend on 23 April to celebrate St George’s Day, organised by Kent Equality Cohesion Council in partnership with Cohesion Plus and Gravesham Borough Council in what will be some of the biggest celebrations taking place in England.

    He will be at the Paul Greengrass Cinema on 25 March at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for the unique opportunity to see and hear this extraordinary journalist and filmmaker.
