Automatic Number Plate Recognition
We have introduced Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) in some of our car parks:
These car parks are payment on exit, by the following payment methods:
- Coins at the pay station (no change given)
- Debit/credit card contactless and Chip and Pin
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- AutoPay
- RingGo PayLater

AutoPay account
With an AutoPay account, your vehicle and payment details are registered safely. When you leave the car park, payment will be made automatically, and a receipt will be emailed to you.
Register for an AutoPay account online, follow the steps in your activation email, including adding your payment details and vehicle registration.
Once registered, you are responsible for managing your AutoPay account, including:
- Add and remove vehicles easily (ensure you select them for AutoPay)
- Register your Blue Badge for free parking
- Keeping up-to-date payment methods (you will be alerted about expiring payment cards)
AutoPay can only be used in the ANPR car parks.
Failure to fully register your AutoPay account or having valid payment methods will prevent you from leaving the barriers. You will need to make payment by alternative method.
