Let us know

If you’re struggling to pay your Council Tax, you should contact us as soon as possible. Council Tax is payable in 10 monthly instalments from April to January for the year.

If you contact us, we can spread your payments to March and reduce your monthly payments.

We may be able to come to a payment arrangement that you can afford. For a payment arrangement to be considered please complete an income and expenditure form.

If you have previous arrears

Your current Council Tax bill is always your priority. If you are struggling to meet the payments as you are also paying arrears please contact us as we may be able to help.

If you have received a summons

Your summons will have an arrangement letter with it. If you can pay these instalments, you do not need to contact us.

If you can't pay the arrangement sent with your summons you should contact us to discuss an alternative payment arrangement or complete an income and expenditure form.

The court cannot make an arrangement with you so you should contact us and not attend court.
