Environmental enforcement team
We take environmental crime very seriously. We aim to ensure that residents and businesses operate legally and respect Gravesham's environment and reputation.
Our team
Our Environmental Enforcement Team have delegated powers and are authorised to carry out their duties. They investigate environmental offences that occur on public land and highways.
The team consists of an Environmental Enforcement Manager, two Street Scene Enforcement Officers, an Environmental Crime Investigator and two Environmental Crime Officers.
We work with partner agencies, including Kent boroughs and districts, the Police, the Environment Agency, and Highways England. They communicate with our internal teams, including Community Safety, Waste Management Unit, Legal Services and Housing. This makes it easier for us to investigate environmental crime.
