What is environmental crime?

Environmental crime is against the law, it includes littering, fly-tipping, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles.

Our Environmental Enforcement Officers will use their powers to investigate and prosecute against environmental crime.

Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) may be issued for committing a number of environmental offences.

Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste or rubbish. Anything more than a single sack of rubbish is classed as fly-tipping.
