New Tavern Fort is owned by Gravesham Borough Council. The site is operated by Thames Defence Heritage.

New Tavern Fort is typically open:

• April to September weekends only 12noon to 5pm
• Bank Holidays
• Selected special events

Admission

A small admission charge applies, £1 for adults and 50p for children. Cash only.

Accessibility

Some areas of the fort are accessible, including parts of the outdoor site. However, due to the historic nature of the attraction:

• Underground tunnels include steps
• Some surfaces are uneven
• Historic structures may have limited access
