About the role
We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our busy communications team.
You will play a key role in keeping our residents, businesses and visitors up to date on our services, events and news.
This is an ideal role for someone starting out in communications and public relations who is keen to build their skills and experience in a fast-moving and challenging envrionment.
About you
You will have:
- good understanding of a broad range of social media platforms, their audiences, and which channel is the right one for which message.
- Experience of basic video shooting and editing skills would be an advantage
- Relevant qualification, training or experience demonstrating communications or journalism skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of procedures or range of tasks that are relatively complex.
- Literacy and numeracy is required.
- Experience dealing with members of the public
- Experience supporting communications, content creation or customer-facing work
