The role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Housing Operations Assistant to support the effective delivery of our housing services.

In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for customers regarding responsive repairs and maintenance enquiries, providing a friendly, professional, and efficient service. You will be responsible for arranging appointments with customers, managing operatives’ diaries, and ensuring works are booked in and scheduled effectively.

You will raise repair jobs accurately and monitor them through to completion, ensuring high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction are maintained. Strong attention to detail is essential, as you will be required to keep accurate and up-to-date records using our housing management systems.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, good organisational ability, and the confidence to liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and professionally.

This is a key role in ensuring our customers receive a reliable, responsive, and high-quality housing service.

Experience required

  • Excellent communication skills - written oral
  • Knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
  • Experience of working within a busy front line service
