The Role

Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a knack for coordinating teams and managing time effectively? We’re looking for a proactive Housing Operations Assistant to join our team and play a key role in delivering timely, efficient repair services to our tenants.
On a day to day basis you will need to ensure that all planned and reactive jobs are booked in for the appropriate individuals and are allocated the right amount of time, including moving jobs around as and when emergencies need to be booked in or when extra time is needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate repair appointments for trade teams based on skill, availability and priority,
  • Communicate with tenants to confirm appointments and provide updates.
  • Manage daily workloads and adjust schedules in real time based on emergencies or changes.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure parts and personnel are in place.
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, schedules, and follow-ups in our system.
  • Monitor job progress and provide regular status updates to internal teams and tenants

Experience required

Although previous experience of working in a similar role within a social housing or commercial maintenance company is desirable, it is not crucial.
Above all you will:

  • enjoy working in a busy and fast paced environment
  • have an aptitude for problem-solving
  • have strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • be computer literate – able to use Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • have a passion for great customer service and a excellent telephone manner
