Request a residential parking scheme
Residential parking schemes help control and protect parking spaces outside residents' houses. They are used on roads where residents have experienced difficulty parking due to non-residents parking there, for example, shoppers or commuters.
Parking schemes operate at specific times Monday to Saturday and allow parking for permit holders only.
If you are concerned about a parking situation on your road, and you would like us to consider implementing a residential parking scheme, then you are welcome to submit a petition to us.
What should be included in the petition?
In order for us to consider your petition it must include the following information:
- what action you request us to take
- names, addresses and signatures of residents who have joined the petition
- the petition organiser's name and contact details
How do I submit?
Residential parking scheme petitions should be addressed to The Senior Development Engineer.
Petitions can be posted to us, or can be delivered in person at the Civic Centre reception.
