Why we report

We have an effective and transparent Corporate Performance Management Framework, enabling local residents proper scrutiny of progress towards our key policy objectives and accountability in how successfully we're administering our resources.

Elected Cabinet Members are ultimately accountable for the performance of the council with each having responsibility for one broad area of our work; a 'portfolio'. In delivering their portfolio of work, Cabinet Members regularly meet with council officers to discuss the ongoing performance of our services.

How we report

In order to effectively scrutinise our performance, alongside a collective Cabinet report, each of the Cabinet Committees receive a quarterly performance report. This sets out the latest position against the Corporate Plan's key policy commitments, and associated performance indicators, that fall within the committee’s portfolio.

In addition, as part of our 'You Said - We Did' campaign performance material is regularly published in our Your Borough magazine. The quarterly publication provides articles and insight into the impact of our efforts in the community and how, in line with resident expectations, we are working towards our ambition of Delivering a Gravesham to be proud of.
