What is performance?

The services we provide, how we deliver them and the impact and outcome we seek to achieve, form the basis of all that we do as a local authority. This is our corporate performance.

Through a commitment to the continuous improvement of our services, we have established an effective, robust, and transparent process of performance management.

How do we manage performance?

We have developed a suite of performance indicators to directly align to the policy commitments set out in our Corporate Plan

Through regular monitoring, we are able to effectively analyse our levels of performance and identify opportunities for improving how we deliver services and the outcomes we achieve for our community.

Regular updates of our work in the community and the levels of performance we are achieving for residents are published in Your Borough magazine. This provides a focus on ‘You said - We did’, as we outline how we are meeting the needs and expectations of the community. View the Your Borough publications.

More formally, we provide tailored performance reports on a quarterly cycle to each of our Cabinet Committees, complete with quantitative and qualitative updates. Our annual Performance Report completes the corporate reporting process.
