If you are looking to dispose of unwanted household items, we offer a collection service from domestic properties within the borough.

We do not offer this service to businesses.

A bulky item collection costs £30 for up to four items. For example, if you want to get rid of a dining table and three chairs, these will total four items for collection.

Book a bulky item collection

You can book and pay for your bulky collection online. The form takes around 5 minutes to complete and once you've added the items you want collected, you can select a collection date that suits you. You can even book a collection date up to six weeks in advance.

The form will ask you to:

  • provide your name and address
  • select the items you want collected
  • select a collection date
  • provide your payment details

You can pay using your debit or credit card.

Please read the Bulky Waste Collection - Terms and Conditions before booking a collection.

What you need to do on collection day

Items must be put out for collection by 7am on the day and will be collected by 5pm. You don't have to be in when we collect your items.

All items are to be left at your normal rubbish and recycling collection point (usually the front of your property) in an easily accessible and visible place at the property boundary. Do not to obstruct foot paths and roads. Our crews are not able to come into your home or garden to help get the items out to the property boundary.

If you live in a flat, the crew will normally collect items from the bin store.
