These ambitions are to be owned and delivered not only by the council, but also by our residents, businesses, institutions and wider community players. The purpose of this strategy is to highlight the necessity of collective actions to address climate change and gain the co-benefits of doing so.

Action plan
The strategy is supported by a detailed Management Delivery Plan, which sets out specific actions that will be taken in order to support our newly adopted strategy for 2025-2030.

The council has established a Climate Change Advisory Board to maintain oversight of the Management Delivery Plan. They will ensure that the council remains abreast of wider climate change issues, and that appropriate information is made aware to the Cabinet.

Annual report
