Large bulky items
If you are looking to dispose of unwanted household items, we offer a collection service from domestic properties within the borough.
We do not offer this service to businesses.
A bulky item collection costs £27 for up to four items. For example, if you want to get rid of a dining table and three chairs you have four items to be collected.
Book a bulky item collection
You can book and pay for your bulky collection online. The form takes around 5 minutes to complete and once you've added the items you want collected, you can select a collection date that suits you. You can even book a collection date up to six weeks in advance.

What you need to do on collection day
Items must be put out for collection by 7am on the day and will be collected by 5pm. You don't have to be in when we collect your items.
Your items need to be left in your normal collection place (usually at the front of your property). This should be the most accessible point to the road, but not on public land. Our crews are not insured to enter your property so please do not ask them to collect items from inside your property (including your shed or garage).
If you live in a flat, the crew will normally collect items from the bin store.
Change or cancel your booking
You can change or cancel your booking and get a full refund providing you tell us by midday the day before your collection. No changes or refunds can be made after this time.
Example - If your collection day is Thursday, you must let us know you want to change your booking by midday on Wednesday.
Using our form, you can:
- add items to your booking
- remove items from your booking
- change an item to a different item
- change your collection date
- cancel your booking
