The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced surveyor to join our friendly Building and Facilities team.
Responsible to the Head of Building & Facilities you will be leading on the delivery of repairs and maintenance of the Council’s commercial and operational buildings. The role will involve operating at a senior level providing expert advice on a wide variety of issues and building types.
The right candidate will be confident, proactive and resilient, with the ability to work under pressure whilst managing multiple deadlines.
About you
- Extensive experience of overseeing the repairs and maintenance of commercial and operational buildings
- Demonstrable experience of supervising staff and contractors
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulations and covering areas such as Health & Safety, Building Regulations, asbestos, legionella and fire safety.
- MRICS qualification preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
