Salary: £24,046 - £27,659 per annum (including allowances) plus additional payment for hour of hours work.
Location: Civic Centre, Gravesend
Working Pattern: Full time
Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent individual to join our Caretaking Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the Civic Centre, carrying out a range of varied tasks to ensure the Civic Centre is safe, well maintained and functional.
The successful candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment and be confident in problem solving. The role will require you to work independently and as part of a team to deliver Caretaking services.
About You
Essential qualifications /experience
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Good time management and organisation skills, ability to prioritise tasks.
- Good customer service skills, ability to always demonstrate a friendly and professional manner.
- Good understanding and knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety practices.
- Flexibility to cover shift working, out of hours working, additional hours and duties when required.
- Ability to work as independently and as part of a team.
- General handyman skills, ability to carry out, repair and maintenance tasks.
- Trouble shooting skills and ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
Desirable qualification/experience
- First Aid qualification.
- Ability to drive and a full UK driving license would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in using specialist cleaning equipment and machinery.
