The role

This new exciting role will support the Partnership and Programme Manager with the development, coordination and delivery of strategic partnerships and cross-council programmes within the Communities & Inclusive Growth Directorate, including those currently within health & wellbeing, tourism and heritage.

The role works across services and external partners to ensure projects are well governed, effectively delivered and deliver measurable outcomes for residents and communities.

This will include supporting the delivery of corporate programmes and priority projects, for both those that are ‘live’ and future development work, for example Place Partnership(s) – Arts Council England, Sport England, National Heritage Lottery Fund, Pride in Place Strategy, Local Regeneration Fund, Kent Public Health – One You Kent, Town twinning initiatives and Kent & Medway Resilience Forum.

About you

The successful candidate will be required to have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, with well developed IT skills.

An ability to build good working relationships, working within agreed timescales, with high volumes or work and targets and excellent organisational & coordination skills.

An understanding of local government or public sector services will be key, along with an awareness of project/programme principles with a general understanding of partnership working & stakeholder management.

Applicants will be required to have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, with experience of of analysing, interpreting and using data to influence decisions and service delivery, with experience of preparing reports, presentations or briefings, organising meetings, events or governance processes.

Qualities required for the role include having a confident professional approach, who is highly motivated and able to use their own initiative. They will be an excellent communicator, who is enthusiastic, positive attitude to change and new ideas.
