- Hours: 37 hours plus 2 hours contractual overtime per week

The role
The Waste Management Team are looking for motivated people to join the street cleansing team to help keep the streets and open spaces of Gravesham free of rubbish, litter and graffiti.
Applicants must have a full British manual driving licence, be able to work independently or as part of a team, have an ability to prioritise tasks and good communication skills.
You must be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Undertake a range of specialist tasks including:
- Manually sweep and litter pick streets, open spaces and alley ways
- Clearing of leaves, weeds and other debris
- To remove dumped rubbish
- To empty litter and dog bins
- Delivering of refuse and recycling sacks
- To collect domestic refuse and recycling
- Cutting back shrubs and bushes using horticulture equipment
- Undertake other cleansing duties such as graffiti removal
- Carry out daily checks on vehicle and report any defects
- Driving and operating of vehicles.
- Complete relevant paperwork including waste transfer notes
Essential qualifications/experience
- Full Clean Driving Licence with Category B
- To have a knowledge of the borough
- To be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Good communication skills
Desirable qualifications/experience
- Up to date Driver CPC card
- Previous experience in this field
- Full clean driving licence with C1 category
- Experience of manual outdoor work
