- Salary: £24,803 to £25,186 per annum plus contractual overtime (inclusive of allowances)
- Location: Brookvale Depot, Northfleet
- Status: Permanent
- Hours: 37 hours plus 2 hours contractual overtime per week
- Closing date: 17 December 2025
The role
- To drive a mechanical sweeper ensuring the roads around the Borough are kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure the vehicle is maintained for daily use
- To ensure the vehicle is washed out daily.
- The driver is responsible for keeping the brushes on the vehicle to a set length, once the brush is low they will need to change it.
- The driver is responsible for doing all walk round checks.
- The driver will have a set weekly schedule, but ad hoc jobs may come up from time to time.
- Full training will be given on vehicle maintenance and wash down.
- To carry out other duties as required
Essential qualifications/experience
- Full clean driving licence with C1 entitlement
- Up to date CPC card
- Knowledge of the Borough
- To work independently or as part of a team
- Worked in a similar role is desirable.
- Have experience in driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonne
