Our commitment
Gravesham Borough Council works closely with Counter Terrorism Police, ProtectUK and partners across Kent to keep our communities safe.
Training our staff
All staff; councillors and volunteers receive:
- mandatory PREVENT training
- refresher training every 24 months
- safeguarding training on radicalisation, extremism and staying safe online
Working with partners
We work jointly with the Kent Prevent Team to:
- identify concerns linked to radicalisation
- support vulnerable individuals
- raise awareness locally
- provide training to organisations and community groups
