Riverside Leisure Area
The Riverside Leisure Area contains Fort Gardens (including the New Tavern Fort and Chantry Heritage Centre), Gordon Gardens and Recreation Ground (including Gordon Lake and General Gordon's Statue), Gordon Promenade (including a café, Gravesend Rowing Club, Gravesend Sailing Club, and Gravesend Regatta Committee) and the Canal Basin Marina.
There are lots of events in this park, including regattas, music festivals and outdoor performances.
Fort Gardens
Enjoy the heritage views in the setting of New Tavern Fort. Here you will find the Milton Chantry, the oldest building in Gravesend.

Fort Gardens and the Dell area is locked half hour before sunset every evening.
Gordon Gardens
Gordons Gardens have beautifully maintained gardens with flower displays, mature trees and ornamental lake.
The gardens is home to the statue of General Charles George Gordon

There is a children's play site by the lake, by the cafe area along the Promendade.
Gordon Promenande
The Gordon Promenade stetches along the riverfront, adjouning to a 3.4-acre park. It is a popular place to visit for picnics, walkers and hikers with picturesque views.
National Cycle Route 1 also passes through this area (along Gordon Promenade and past the Canal Basin) and then follows the route of the Thames and Medway Canal towards Higham.
Facilities
There is plenty of seating througout the Riverside Leisure Area with litter bins nearby.
There is a Cafe is privatley run and accessible on the promenade area with seating outside.
There are Public toilets available by the cafe and also by New Tavern Fort.
The area is mainly wheelchair accessible via paved paths and public park access, although gradients may exist in some areas.
