Energy saving tips to reduce your use
You cut fuel bills by reducing energy usage. Here are some energy saving tips:
- switch off lights when they are not in use, and switch to low energy light bulbs
- turn electrical appliances off at the plug when not in use
- standby uses up energy, switch it off completely if not used for 15 minutes
- use a 30°C wash programme. Detergents are designed for washing at 30°C
- hang your washing out to dry instead of using a tumble dryer
