How to get support
There are many services across Gravesham and Kent that are there to support victims of domestic abuse.
In an emergency, always dial 999 - if you are unable to speak always press '55' when prompted to confirm an emergency.
Find out more about ‘Make yourself heard’ - what to do if you need urgent police help through the 999 service, but can’t speak.
If you are deaf or can’t use a phone
You can register with the emergencySMS. Text REGISTER to 999. You will get a text which tells you what to do next. Do this when it is safe so you can text when you are in danger.

Domestic abuse affects people from all walks of life and in many different ways. Find out what classes as domestic abuse, how to report it and how, under Clare’s Law - Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS), you can find out if a partner has a history of domestic violence or abuse.
Kent Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (KIDAS)
Kent Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (KIDAS) is a collaborative commission for area based teams across Kent. KIDAS aims to deliver a holistic, flexible model of support to those experiencing domestic abuse. Focussing on early intervention and maintaining independence for survivors and their families, keeping people safe.

Clarion Domestic Abuse Service
Clarion Domestic Abuse Service run a ‘One Stop Shop’ drop-in which provide free advice, information and support. No appointment is required. These take place weekly on Thursdays 9:30am - 12:00pm at Customer Services Gateway, desks 9 and 10 at The Woodville, Civic Centre, Gravesend, DA12 1AU.

Our Safe Spaces scheme
The Safe Space Scheme is a partnership coordinated initiative to provide a refuge to any person who needs help in the time of distress. The project is funded and supported by Kent’s Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office.

If someone you know is abusing you, you may not want them to know that you have been looking at these webpages. If that person can use the same computer as you, it is possible for them to see how you've been using the internet.
The only way to be sure no one finds out what webpages you have viewed is to use a computer which they do not have access to. This could be at a local library, a friend's house, or an internet cafe.
