Car parks

We have nine car parks in Gravesend. Eight of these are pay and display car parks, where charges apply Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm (including Bank Holidays).

Lord Street Car Park is our season permit holders only car park.

Below is a map of all of our car parks. Select a map marker to find some quick information about that car park such as:

  • Postcode (for Sat Nav)
  • Opening times
  • Parking charges
  • Disabled parking bays

Alternatively, for more information about each car park, please choose one from the list below:

How to pay for parking

You can pay using coins at the ticket machines. We also offer the option to pay for your parking with your mobile using the Parkmobile app. For more details see our Pay for parking with your mobile page.

Disabled badge holders (Blue Badge)

Disabled badge holders are allowed to park for free within any bay in our pay and display car parks, and without time limit, but must have a Blue Badge on show. However, disabled badge holders are not permitted to park in Lord Street Car Park. To apply for a permit, please see our season ticket permits page.

For a list of disabled badge holder only bays both on street and in our car parks, please see our Disabled parking and bays page.

Oversized vehicles

Our car parks are generally for private vehicles that carry no more than seven passengers. Some of our car parks have height barriers. In others, the size and/or layout of the car park is not suitable for oversized vehicles.

Motorcycle parking

Motorcycles can park in any standard pay and display bay in any of our eight pay and display car parks free of charge. This does not include Lord Street Temporary Car Park as this is for season permit holders only.

We ask that motorists park considerately so that two motorcycles can fit in one bay. We also have a motorcycle parking area at the northern end of Parrock Street Car Park, next to the disabled bays.

Motorcycles will still receive a parking ticket for parking in breach of the restrictions displayed on the tariff boards. For example, parking in a disabled bay without a disabled badge or parking outside of bay markings.

Electric cars

There are currently no charging points for electric vehicles in any of our car parks. Visit the Zap Map website for an interactive map on where the nearest charge points are to your location.

Safer Parking Scheme

Both Parrock Street and Milton Place car parks have been awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking standard. Find out more about this scheme on the Park Mark website.
