About the fund
You may be eligible for help with your food and the cost of utilities through the Household Support Fund.
Funded by UK Government, the scheme is for those most in need of support to help with significantly rising living costs.

We work with local organisations to deliver support to local households.
Citizen Advice North and West Kent
Citizens Advice in North & West Kent can help you to access Household Support Funds if you are struggling with the rising costs of living, along with providing advice and support on other issues you may be facing, including ways to maximise your income and make your money go further. Get advice online or book a video call from their website.
You can visit the Kent Advice Hub kiosk in the Gravesham Civic Centre.
Telephone the Household Support Fund Helpline on 0300 304 8003. Leave your contact details and an Adviser will call you back.
Call the freephone advice line on 0808 278 7810 to speak directly to an Adviser (Open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).
Food banks
Gravesend Foodbank
Make a referral to the Gravesham Foodbank if you need help.
You can call the foodbank on 01474 661 275 or 07848949434 or email on info@graveshamfoodbank.org.uk and they will talk through your situation and put you in touch with a relevant local agency.
Hive Hope Foodbank
Hive Hope also offers signposting to other support services and is committed to helping people in crisis with dignity and compassion.
The public can access the services of Hive Hope Foodbank in Northfleet through two main options: the Static Foodbank and the Mobile Foodbank.
Static Foodbank: St Botolph’s Church Hall, Northfleet, DA11 9EU
Citizens Advice can refer you here or you will need to show proof of crisis (debt letters, eviction notice etc).

Mobile Foodbank ('Barry')
No proof of crisis required – open to anyone in need.
Fair Use Policy: Please only take what you need to ensure supplies are available for others.

Find out what information and support is available to help with the cost of living.
We use the Low Income Family Tracker (LIFT) tool to identify and support local households in most need of our help. There is no need to apply, the council will contact those households who meet the qualifying criteria.
